A bit about me

I have always liked making things, and learning how things work. I was drawn to software development because it is such a creative medium - it feels like you can build whatever you can imagine. I love the challenge of clarifying ideas to make them into reality, and finding abstractions to manage the complexity that quickly arises from all this creative power.

The ubiquity of software has allowed me to work in a variety of industries, including finance, research, telecommunications, and ad tech. Along the way I have taken on roles from programmer to founder and CTO - managing, mentoring, and learning from other engineers, managers, product managers, designers, and customers.

The endeavor of software development is much more than technology - it's about people working together. And as much as I love technology, the real joy I have found is in sharing this journey of creativity and discovery with other people.
